Study in Dubai: Deadline Approaching for University of Wollongong Academic Merit Scholarship for PG Students: Apply By 15th July 2024

The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) offers Academic Merit Scholarships to postgraduate students. Indian students can also apply. The benefit is a tuition fee discount of 15% to 25% for each trimester. The selection process is based on the academic merit of the applicants. However, the number of scholarships is limited. Hence, awards are given on a first come first serve basis. The deadline to apply for the scholarship is 15th July 2024.  The University of Wollongong ranks 162 (as per QS Ranking 2024). Academic Merit Scholarship (PG) Eligibility & Selection Process 

The Academic Merit Scholarship eligibility criteria for postgraduate students are as follows. You need to meet these requirements to apply.

• You must be an international student 
• You must also be an entry-level applicant undertaking a full-time postgraduate study at the university 
• Additionally, you must have secured the minimum grades (see table below)
• Moreover, you must meet the admission requirements of the university
• You must enrol in the relevant session for the course applied

The value of the academic merit scholarship for postgraduate students is as follows:

• 15% scholarship
• 25% scholarship

Under each category, only a limited number of scholarships are available. Therefore, you must meet the minimum criteria for the award.

How to Retain Academic Merit Scholarship?

To retain the academic merit scholarship you must maintain the academic standard. The scholarships are reviewed annually. Therefore, you must meet the eligibility criteria:

• Maintain a WAM of ≥65 (for both 25% and 15% scholarship)
• Receive no “Fail” (F or TF) grades
• Moreover, you must enrol in a minimum of 2 subjects in Winter, Autumn, and Spring (only necessary for students on a UOWD-sponsored visa)

During the review process, if it has been found that you do not meet the criteria, your scholarship amount is either reduced or withdrawn.
