The University of Toronto ( U of T) provides several Engineering Scholarships to international students for the academic year 2024-25. These scholarships are provided as tuition fee discounts to students. The Engineering department automatically considers high school applicants for the faculty-specific scholarship. The Engineering department distributes the scholarships based on the academic performance and extracurricular activities demonstrated by the students in their ‘online student profile.’ Additionally, university-wide scholarships are also available for Engineering students. However, this requires the student to submit a separate application form.

Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering Admission Scholarships 

The Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Admission Scholarships are available to international students who apply to the U of T directly after completing their high school education. The selected students can receive a maximum of $5,000. No separate application is necessary for the same.

U of T Engineering International Scholarships

The U of T Engineering International scholarships are open to international students. This is a faculty-based scholarship. The selected students can receive a maximum of  $40,000 for 4 years. This a renewable scholarship. However, no application is necessary.

U of T Scholars Program

The U of T Scholars Program is available to international students who demonstrate financial need or excellent academic record. The scholarship amount is $7,500. No application is necessary. However, students must fill out the  Awards Profile on JOIN U of T (online) by 1 February 2024. 

President’s Scholars of Excellence Program

The President’s Scholars of Excellence Program is available to international applicants. The U of T Engineering department automatically considers students for the scholarship when they apply, based on financial need or merit, and no separate application is necessary. The benefit is an amount of $10,000.

The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program

The Lester B Pearson International Scholarship Program is a scholarship that covers the tuition fees, incidental fees, and book expenses of the student. Moreover, the beneficiaries can receive full residence support. The scholarship is renewable for 4 years. This is a nomination-based scholarship. Hence, it requires application. However, the application for the next academic year has not been released.
