Donovan-Johnston Memorial Scholarship (MDHS) launched by the University of Melbourne is available to international students.The late Kathleen Mary Johnsis established the MDHS scholarship, which offers a total of $30,000 (INR 24.59) shared between multiple applicants.
The MDHS scholarship assists medical practitioners in completing their educational courses. Moreover, those wating to participate in clinical attachments in the British Hospitals are also eligible to apply. The last date for scholarship applications is 16th July, 2023.

The following are the eligibility criteria for the MDHS scholarship 2023.
- Must be a medical graduate enrolled in the Melbourne Medical School for graduate research degree. Else, the applicant should take educational courses offered in collaboration with/conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
- Additionally, he/she should be an excellent graduate researcher of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences OR
- Participate in clinical attachements in 1 or more hospitals in the UK recognised for training towards fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England
- Additionally, the applicant must satisfy the conditions for PhD entry

The Donovan Johnston Memorial Scholarship would provide an amount of $30,000 to the beneficiaries. The amount is meant to cover the tuition fees, travel expenses, and accommodation of the beneficiaries.
Interested candidates can apply for the scholarship before 16th July, 2023.The selection committee chooses applicants based on their academic merit, demonstrated skill in relevant research areas, faculty scholarship score, and career aspirations.
Hence, the applicant needs to submit the application form, CV, referee reports, academic transcripts, and faculty scholarship score for the same. However, the scholarship results will be declared on the Faculty’s published timelines.
