The Australia Research Training Program (RTP) applications are currently open. Interested students can apply for the scholarship at Griffith University. International students are eligible to apply. The benefit is a tuition fee offset, a stipend to cover the living expenses or an allowance related to the ancillary cost of HDRs. Students demonstrating exceptional research potential are selected for this award. RTP Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The Australian RTP scholarship eligibility requirements are as follows:
- You must be undertaking a higher degree by research at an eligible university. Higher Degree by Research or HDR refers to a research doctorate program or a research master’s degree. Griffith University is an eligible university.
- Moreover, you must dedicate 2/3rd of your time to research work at the approved university.
- Additionally, you must demonstrate exceptional research potential
- Students enrolling in a coursework degree program are not eligible.
RTP Scholarship Benefits & Duration
The RTP Scholarship benefits are as follows. A university will provide only 1 or more of the types of support
- Covers the tuition fees of a higher degree by research or HDR students. The entire tuition fees are covered
- Additionally, a stipend is provided to assist you with your living expenses while undertaking an HDR.
- The allowances would assist you with the ancillary costs incurred. This includes the funds to relocate to undertake an HDR. The organisation covers thesis printing, academic publication expenses, and health expenses for recipients and their dependents.
Note: Griffith University only offers a living allowance to its students.
The scholarship is only available for a minimum duration of 3 years and up to a maximum of 4 years for full-time research doctorate students. Conversely, the scholarship is available for a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 8 years for a part-time research doctorate student.
Master’s students enrolling in a full-time program will get the scholarship for up to 2 years. On the other hand, part-time students can get the scholarship for 4 years.
The individual Higher Education Providers or HEP administers the scholarship applications. Therefore, you need to contact the university directly for the application process. You can choose to apply for an RTP scholarship at more than one university.
