The University of Staffordshire has recently declared that it will create a new student accommodation in Stoke-on-Trent village. The multi-million-pound budget will also include the refurbishment of Clarice Cliff Court Halls of Residence. Furthermore, these constructions will be initiated in 2024 and are planned to finish by 2026.
The new village will be built in place of the Leek Road Halls accommodation. The area of old accommodation will be turned into a parkland. The Leeds Road Hall accommodation has 500+ rooms however, the new one will have 700+ rooms for students.
The location of the new student village will be across the river Trent. This will offer a great view along with accessibility to the university. The Clarice Cliff Court Halls of Residence currently houses around 300 students.
What Does the New Facility Offer?
The new student accommodation in Stoke on Trent will be a combination of clusters and townhouses. There will also be car parking available and a boardwalk will connect the accommodation to the University of Staffordshire.
The accommodation plan includes individual and group study areas, a rooftop terrace, multiactivity spaces as well as sitting areas. They will build the new student village using sustainable architecture techniques, but they will also include high-end modern amenities.
Students mostly prefer on-campus accommodations, but they often fill up before many of them get a chance to apply. Therefore, one should plan better. Even if you don’t get university accommodations, there are ways to find affordable and safe living options abroad.
