America’s new consulates will be opened in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. As per the reports, H1B visa renewal is possible now within the US. Additional Information Regarding Renewal of H-1B Visas

Furthermore, the US Department of State also stated that it would launch a pilot to adjudicate domestic renewals of certain petition-based temporary work visas later this year.

Additionally, the intent is to implement the reform for an expanded pool of H1B and L visa holders in 2024 and eventually broaden the program to include other eligible categories. Also, these new reforms will make the process easier for the visa holders.

As per the joint US and India statements, essential steps must be taken to augment the processing of visa applications. Moreover, the statements are also directed for officials to identify additional mechanisms to facilitate travel for business, tourism, and professional and technical exchanges between the two countries.
