The service of legal experts and attorneys is available across ten states within the jurisdiction of the Indian Consulate in New York, helping with providing a wide reach of network support. 

Regular Open House Sessions

To further assist the Indian students living abroad, The Indian Consulate has introduced regular open house sessions. 

These sessions are held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month, allowing students to meet with the officials of the Consulate. During these meetings, students can discuss their concerns, seek advice, and get their issues addressed directly. This initiative ensures that students have a consistent and reliable way to communicate with the Indian Consulate and helps in creating a supportive environment. 

Growing in Safety and Support Numbers

Despite concerns about the safety of overseas Indian students and professionals in recent years, the number of Indian students in the US is on a boom. According to the Open Doors Report, the number of international students from India in the US increased by 35 percent in the academic year 2022-23 with a great reach an all-time high of 268, 923 students.
