The trend of immigration to Canada from India has increased remarkably in recent years. There has been a significant increase in the number of new Indian permanent residents (PRs) from 39340 in 2015 to 139785 in 2023. In the first 4 months of 2024, the number of Indians landed in Canada as new permanent residents has already reached 51,450 as per the latest immigration data updated on 17th June. The Phillippines was the top source country for new permanent residents in 2015 and 2016.
