• Reschedule the exam- Those who can’t appear for the GMAT exam on the set date but still want to appear for the examination can choose this option. It is possible to reschedule the GMAT examination on the basis of the preferred time and date set by the student. However, a small fee will be charged for the same.
• Cancel the exam- If the student has decided not to appear for the GMAT exam then he/she can choose to cancel the exam. Hence, the student can check out the GMAT cancellation policy, and visit the official website to cancel the exam.
• Request a refund- Under certain circumstances, it is possible to get a refund for either rescheduling or cancellation. For example, if the student has a serious illness/injury/family emergency. In such circumstances, a student can receive a refund. However, documentation has to be submitted for the same.

GMAT Cancellation Policy

There are plenty of reasons why a student can’t appear for the GMAT examination. In such circumstances, it is important that a student knows about the GMAT cancellation policy. Below are the steps a student can take to cancel the GMAT exam.

1. Visit the GMAC official website and log into the account. 
2. Once logged in check the dashboard for any upcoming scheduled examination. Next, find the exam you want to cancel and click on it.
3. On the detailed page of the examination a student there is an option to cancel the exam. Here a student can choose to cancel the examination.
4. Choose to cancel the examination by confirming the same. Lastly, submit the cancellation request.
5. Lastly, the candidate will receive an email from GMAC stating that your examination has been cancelled

GMAT Exam Cancellation Fees

The GMAT examination cancellation fee is based on the time the candidate has applied for cancellation. As per the GMAT cancellation policy, a  refund is given to the candidate after dedicating the examination cancellation amount.  The following  are the GMAT cancellation fee variations:

How to Reschedule the GMAT exam?

In case, a student wants to reschedule the GMAT exam, he/she can follow the steps below. The steps for rescheduling the GMAT examination are as follows. It is similar to the GMAT cancellation policy. 

• Log in to the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) website and click on the “Reschedule Exam” button.
• Select a new date and time to reschedule the exam, and pay the fees using a credit or debit card 
• Lastly, receive a confirmation mail that the examination has been rescheduled. The rescheduled location, date, and time will be provided in the mail.
