- A valid travel document (For example, a passport) that is issued within the last 10 years, and contains 2 blank pages. The document must also be valid for 3 months beyond the intended travel duration.
- A visa application form that is fully completed and signed
- A passport-sized photograph (size 35×45 mm)
- Additionally, you must have travel insurance that covers illness/injury for the duration of your stay
- An offer letter from a university in Estonia. For example, Tallinn University
- Proof that you have sufficient funds to cover your tuition fees and living expenses for the course duration
- Moreover, at the time of application submission, you must provide biometric information. Usually, 10 fingerprints are taken. Children below the age of 12 and persons for whom it is physically impossible to give the biometric are exempt from this rule.

- Visit the official website of the Estonia New Delhi Embassy. Only the New Delhi embassy can grant you a D-visa.
- Next, select ‘general information for long-stay visa application’.
- Choose the option ‘apply in Embassy’. The page will redirect you to the visa appointment page.
- You can now book an appointment for your visa application.
- On the day of the visa appointment visit the embassy in person to start the visa application process
- Ensure that you are carrying the relevant documentation.
- You will have to submit the biometric information on this day.

Can I bring my Family on an Estonian Student Visa?
You are not permitted to bring your family on an Estonian student visa. Estonia wants applicants to justify the reason for obtaining a visa. However, if your family member wants to meet you they can visit the country on a visit visa. You can settle with your family member (who is already in Estonia) only after you have received a temporary residence permit.
