You cannot work in Armenia without a work permit. Therefore, anyone seeking employment in Armenia must get a work permit. However, highly skilled workers, executives, and business owners are exempt from the work permit requirement. Similarly, a work permit is not needed by employees who are hired by a foreign employer.
In Armenia, there is no distinction between locally hired individuals, and intra-company transfers, for subcontracting employment. Therefore, a transfer of staff (whether skilled or unskilled) needs a work permit. Unless you come under the work permit exemption category, the employer is responsible for applying for a work permit to the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MLSA). You can then apply for a temporary residence permit.

An Armenia temporary residence permit is only available to applicants who hold a work permit. The temporary residence permit is valid for a year. You can also extend the permit for 1 year.

The eligibility requirements for a temporary residence permit is as follows:
