Number of Diyas to light on Choti Diwali
Choti Diwali which is also known as Kali Chaudas will be celebrated on 11 November 2023. On this day people start decorating their houses in the morning and in the evening they light diyas and conduct a small puja at home and workplace.
According to the Hindu tradition, 14 diyas should be lit on Choti Diwali. These diyas should be placed in two rounds on a plate 11 diyas on the edge of the thali and 4 diyas in the center.
Lighting diyas on the occasion of Diwali is the symbol of a bright, prosperous, positive and happy life. The diyas should be lightened in every corner of the house followed by a big Diya at the entrance.
