Chandryaan-3, the third mission of the Chandrayaan program was launched on 14 July 2023. It was launched via rocket LVM3-M4. The target was the reach the lunar south pole of the moon and conduct scientific experiments to study the surface of the moon. Chandryaan-3 has a lander and a rover. The lander was made for a smooth landing whereas the rover rolls out of the lander containing 5 payloads to study different aspects of the moon. Will Chandrayaan-3 Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover Wakes Up?

On September 4 and 2 of 2023, the Lander and the Rover were put to sleep respectively due to night on the moon.
As per ISRO chairman S Somanath, the sun will rise on the moon at “Shivshakti Point” on 22 September 2023.
The entire nation and the world are eyeing the Chandrayaan-3 Lander and Rover as ISRO will attempt to revive the Lander and the Rover and re-establish a communication link with its successful lunar mission Chandrayaan-3.
The main challenge for the Lander and Rover is to come back to life as they had faced chilling of -200 degrees Celsius for the past few days. If they successfully survive the harsh cold temperature then, they will come into action. It will also continue to study the moon’s surface on 22 September 2023 till the next 14 days as soon as the rover receives the command.
