I wish to draw your attention to the serious health problems our area is facing due to waterlogging. After every rainfall, the streets and open spaces in our colony get filled with dirty water, which remains stagnant for 4–5 days without being cleared. This stagnant water has led to a large increase in mosquito breeding. In the past month alone, around 10 people in our colony have been treated for dengue and malaria, including small children. In many parts of LBS Nagar, such as Street No. 2 and the area near the community park, there is no proper drainage system. Garbage also floats in the water, causing a foul smell.
