Dear Saif,
I hope this letter finds you well.  It’s been a while since I started living in a hostel, so I thought I’d give you an overview of my daily hostel life.

My day usually begins at 6:30 a.m., when the alarm goes off. After freshening myself, I head to the mess for breakfast at 7 a.m. Our classes start at 8 a.m. Classes continue until 1 p.m., after which my friends and I hang around in the canteen. Lunch is served in the mess by 1:30 pm. Afternoons are typically utilised for self-study or group work. Evenings are my favourite part of the day because I get to play football with my friends. Dinner is usually served by 7:30 p.m., and we head to bed about 11 p.m.

As much as I enjoy hostel life, I miss our time together and hope to catch up soon. Looking forward to your positive response.

Take care!
Warm Regards.
Mahima

Dear Ritu,
I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I’m taking this opportunity to tell you about my usual day at the hostel.

My day starts at 7 a.m. when the alarm goes off. After a good shower, we all head to the mess hotel for breakfast. The classes begin at 9 p.m. and end at 1 p.m. We normally cover all of our subjects in classes with short breaks in between. The afternoons are flexible because I don’t have any classes during that time. I normally use that time to study and complete projects. After dinner at 7 p.m., the common room is full of students relaxing from the day’s busy schedule. The light turns off at 11 p.m.

Living here has its challenges, but the friendships and sense of community make it all worthwhile. How are things going with you? Please do write back. I am waiting for your response.

Best
Sharavi
