How is the NIT Fees Calculated?

Based on the criteria provided by the Higher Education Department, the Council for the National Institute of Technology and the Ministry of Human Resource Department determine the fee structure for the NITs. Depending on their needs, some reserved categories get waivers while others have to pay lower tuition fees.

Category Wise B.tech Fees for NITs

Students falling in the reserved category are given benefits in fees across all 31 NITs. Those who have the necessary documents and the required certificate of their category can avail of the benefit. The reserved category includes SC/ST, OBC, PWD, and EWS. Students are required to submit proof of their caste and income issued by the State government.
