BIDS Eligibility Criteria 2023
The eligibility requirements for the courses are based on the standards set by the affiliated university. The applicants must achieve a minimum combined score of 50% (40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates) in the qualifying exam. Furthermore, candidates must have reached the age of 17 on or before 31 December of the admission year.
The eligibility criteria that the students must fulfil in order to get admission are mentioned below:
- Prospective candidates must have successfully completed the 2-year Pre-University Examination or its equivalent from a recognised board or council, with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as optional subjects, each passed individually.
- Additionally, candidates should have obtained a B.Sc. degree from an Indian University, with at least two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany, Zoology).
- The candidates must have passed English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology individually in the qualifying examinations (pre-university examinations).
- The candidates must be 17 years of age or must become 17 years old by the 31st of December of the year of application.
