UPSC Prelims Registration Process
The UPSC Civil Services Prelims registration for 2024 has already closed on March 6th,(however) you can be prepared for next year’s exam by familiarizing yourself with the process. Here’s a breakdown of the UPSC Prelims registration process:
One-Time Registration (OTR):
- This is mandatory for applying online for UPSC exams. You register once and can use it for future UPSC applications. https://upsconline.nic.in/upsc/OTRP/index.php
- Don’t create multiple OTR IDs as it can lead to application rejection.
UPSC Online Application:
- Visit the UPSC’s official website https://upsconline.nic.in/.
- Click on “Apply Online” under the “Exam Notifications” tab.
- Select the link for Civil Services (Preliminary) exam registration.
Registration Process:
The application process is usually two-part:
- Part 1: Enter basic details like name, age, address etc.
- Part 2: Choose the exam center, pay fees, and upload a photo, signature, and ID proof.
Important to Remember:
- Stay updated by checking the UPSC website for the official notification for the 2025 UPSC CSE. This notification will provide the exact registration dates.
- Ensure you meet the eligibility criteria before applying.
