RMAT Selection Process

The All India Management Association (AIMA) administers the Research Management Aptitude Test (RMAT) for admission to PhD Management programs. RMAT aspirants can complete the application form on the All Indian Management Association’s official website (AIMA). In this article, we will take you through the RMAT selection process in detail.

The RMAT exam is 1 hour and 30 minutes long and is administered online. The formal dates have not yet been announced, but the examination is scheduled to take place in the final week of May 2023. RMAT Selection Process 

Candidates will first have to appear for the written test. Upon clearing the test candidates are then called for a Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The final merit list is generated based on the scores received in the Personal Interview and Group discussion, and the applicants are then invited for counselling.

Written Exam 

Candidates will first have to appear for the written test. The exam will be administered online and will last 90 minutes. It will be a computer-based test. Applicants will be graded on 100 MCQs (Multiple-Choice Questions) with each question having four alternatives.

The exam pattern will include two sections: Foundations of Management and Research Fundamentals and Aptitude.

The applicant will receive one mark for each correct response, and no mark will be subtracted for any wrong answers.

Group Discussion 

The most popular selection approach utilised in MBA combinations is group discussion. A group conversation might have anything from 5 to 15 individuals. This group is assigned a topic on which they must conduct research. A successful group discussion ensures that members make logical observations in order to gain varied perspectives on the issue.

The institution performs GD rounds after examining their performance in GD in order to enrol the most worthy students in their MBA programmes. Personal Interview

A personal interview, also known as a PI round, is a face-to-face interpersonal round in which the interview is conducted by either a single person (known as the interviewer) or a group of individuals (known as a panel). Personal interviews are required as part of the selection process to assess the candidate’s verbal abilities, interpersonal skills, and presence of mind.
