PU MET Selection Process 2026: Dates, Criteria and Documents

PU MET Selection Process: Panjab University Management Entrance test (PU MET) selection process is conducted by the PU admission authorities after the declaration of the PU MET exam. The candidates who qualify for the PU MET cut-off are selected. These shortlisted candidates are then called for the selection process and further admission.

PU MET Selection Process

The PU MET selection process starts after the declaration of results. The shortlisted candidates who qualify for the exam are called for the selection process. The steps are as follows:

• Group Discussion (GD): Approx 9 to 10 candidates are given an on-the-spot topic by the exam authorities. The group discussion will help in judging the candidate’s thinking and communication skills.
• Personal Interview (PI): The candidate will be judged based on their critical thinking ability and spontaneous responses.
• Merit List: After the group discussion and personal interview round, a provisional merit list will be prepared. 
• PU MET counselling: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the counselling process. In counselling, the candidate’s documents are verified.

PU MET Selection Process: Criteria & Weightage

The merit list prepared after the group discussion and personal interview depends on certain factors. The weightage of the selection criteria is given in the table below:

Documents Required

Candidates who are selected will be called for the counselling process. Applicants need to bring the following documents for verification:

The PU MET exam will be conducted on 16th April but authorities have not yet released the PU MET result and counselling dates. But, we have mentioned the tentative dates of the selection process.
