PU MET Counselling Process 2023

Panjab University will conduct the counselling process based on the merit list. The candidates who will clear the PU MET cutoff will be called for the counselling process. Panjab University Management Entrance Exam, or PU MET, is a standardised aptitude test administered by Panjab University for admission to MBA programmes given by Panjab University’s University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS).

PU MET 2023: Counselling Process 

Panjab University will conduct the counselling process based on the merit list. The candidates who will qualify for the PU MET 2023 cut-off will be called for the counselling process. The document verification process of the candidates will be conducted on the same day. The university will conduct the seat allocation based on the merit list. The counselling process consists of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Group Discussion (GD)

The candidates who are shortlisted based on the merit list have to appear for the group discussion (GD).In this process, a group of 5 to 6 candidates will be called and a topic will be assigned to them in which they have to speak in favour or in against the topic after the group discussion the candidates will be called for the Personal Interview (PI).

Personal Interview (PI)

In the Personal Interview (PI) the candidate will be called for the interview process by the higher faculties in which the candidate will be asked questions on the main campus. The candidates will be asked questions on one on one basis. The candidate’s confidence level and intrapersonal skills will be checked in the personal interview round (PI).

Counselling Process Weightage

The candidate is selected for the counselling process based on the merit list released by Panjab University. The candidates have to appear for the counselling process on campus and the counselling process will be in offline mode. The below-mentioned table has the counselling process weightage:

Documents Required in the PU MET 2023 Counselling Process

The candidates appearing for the counselling process have to carry the documents along with them during the process. Below mentioned are the documents required for the counselling process:

• Class 10th Marksheet
• Class 12th Marksheet
• PU MET 2023 Scorecard
• Category Certificate
• Domicile Certificate

PU MET 2023 Reservation Policy

The candidates applying for the PU MET 2023 must know about the reservation policy. The reservation policy for the General Category is 53.5% of the seats in each course and 46.5% of seats for the Reserved category. Below mentioned are the details regarding the reservation policy:

• 7.5% for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes (ST)
• 5% seats for Persons with Disability (PwD)
• 5% for Defence Quota
• 2% for the wards of Freedom Fighters
• 15% for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC)
• 5% for candidates belonging to the Backward Classes
• 5% for the Sports Quota
• 2% for those affected by 1984 terrorist violence in Punjab and Chandigarh.
