Once the MAT result comes out, the candidates will be able to download their scorecards by visiting the official website. Here are the steps to check the MAT result:

  • Visit the official website that is responsible for conducting the exam. (https://mat.aima.in/)
  • Next, log into the MAT dashboard to get to your profile using your login credentials.
  • Simply, click on the MAT result notification.
  • Download your MAT result scorecard.
  • Finally, take a printout of the official MAT result document and keep it safe for future reference.

🔢 MAT Result 2024: How to Calculate MAT Percentile?

Did you know MAT percentile and score are different?

If you look closely at the MAT scorecard, you will see that in the result, the percentile is written for each section. To understand, the MAT percentile is the percentage of all the candidates who scored below a candidate based on the entire exam. 

For better understanding, suppose 6,000 candidates appeared for a particular MAT paper. Then, the percentile of each candidate will be calculated based on the performance of the rest of the 5,999 candidates. Now that you know what is MAT percentile. 

Here’s how you can calculate the MAT percentile

With the above calculation, one can make out that the conduction body (AIMA) takes out the raw MAT score and represents it on a scale of 199 to 801. Here’s a quick formula for calculating the MAT percentile. 

(Composite score obtained by a candidate X 100)/Total candidates = MAT percentile

The MAT percentile indicates the percentage of the candidates scoring less than a particular candidate in the exam. There are some B-schools which give admission to candidates based o on their composite score while some give on based on MAT percentile.

What After MAT Result 2024?

Post the declaration of the MAT result for 2024, all candidates will be shortlisted by the institutes they have registered with for further rounds. This is done based on their MAT scores/percentile. 

After this, the candidates are then called in for the Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) rounds. Each institute has different criteria for assessing the candidate as per their norms. All India Management Association (AIMA) plays no role in this.
