JELET is an entrance exam conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) to give lateral entry to students in the 3rd semester of their 2nd year. Courses conducted under the JELET are in technology, engineering (except architecture), and pharmacy. Through JELET, students are allotted public as well as self-financing private engineering and technology colleges across the state of West Bengal. This year, JELET 2023 is scheduled to be held on June 10th, 2023, and registration is open until January 17th, 2023.

JELET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- There is no maximum age for those with diplomas in engineering, pharmacy, or technology. However, the maximum age for B.Sc. candidates is 27 years old as of December 31, 2023, and 25 years for marine engineering diploma applicants.
- Candidates with a diploma in engineering, pharmacy, or technology must have obtained 45% from a polytechnic school or pharmacy program accredited by the AICTE.
- Candidates having a B.Sc. degree must have completed their degree from an institution recognized by the UGC with a minimum of 45%. Additionally, candidates must have passed Mathematics in Class XII.

JELET 2023 Application Process
To access the JELET 2023 Application Form, candidates can go to the official JELET website, www.wbjeeb.in. To fill out the JELET online application form, students should adhere to the instructions listed below.

JELET 2023 Admit Card can be downloaded between June 1, 2023, and June 10, 2023 (up to 1.00 p.m.). Please note that candidates who have not received their JELET admit cards can call the WBJEEB Helpline or look for their names on the list of rejected candidates.
JELET 2023 Exam Pattern
- There will be 100 objective questions on the JELET exam paper.
- The total duration of the JELET 2023 Exam is 2 hours.
- Each wrong attempt will attract 0.25 negative marks.
- One standard paper will be provided for all engineering and technological disciplines.
- The question papers for candidates for the B.Sc. and pharmacy programs will be different.
- Depending on the qualifying exam the candidate passed, the paper will include different components and sections.

JELET 2023 Exam Results
About a month after the JELET exam, results are announced, and Students will be notified on the official website. This year, the results will be announced in the month of July. To download their results, students can follow the following directions:

- Click on the exam result link.
- Log in using your registration credentials.
- Click on the “Submit” button.
- Your result will be displayed on the screen.

JELET 2023 Merit List
Once the JELET result has been announced, the merit list will be made available to candidates. WBJEEB releases five merit lists according to the ranks of the students, which are based on their performance in the JELET 2023. In case of any tie between the marks of any two students, the one with the fewer wrong attempts will be preferred, and the age will also be considered. The older student will be preferred over the younger one. Moreover, there will be general as well as reserved category merit lists. Several lists published by the WBJEEB are as follows:

JELET 2023 Counseling
Shortly after the results are announced, WBJEEB will post a notification on its official web page with information about JELET 2023 counselling, seat allotment, and Admission. Only those applicants who qualify for the counselling procedure may take part, and they will get information about their counselling dates through email. Since the seat allotment and counselling rounds are specified based on JELET 2023 rank, students are advised to carefully read the information regarding their counselling rounds. Moreover, no second chance to participate in the counselling will be given if you make any errors or fail to attend the counselling. So, students must appear at the allotted time and venue and must follow the required procedure for counselling. Additionally, some documents are a must-have on counselling day.
