DRA full form is the debt recovery agent. The debt recovery sector is growing each year and there is an acute shortage of Certified DRAs in the country. The RBI has informed the Indian Banks to create in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) certification programs for the same.  DRA’s are responsible for collecting loans/advances/other debts from debtors by following certain guidelines. IIBF Debt Recovery Agent examination can be undertaken by the following applicants

• Agent (Direct selling/Direct Marketing/other agents) engaged directly or indirectly for salary or commission in connection with the debt recovery or enforcement of bank securities 
• Those interested in a career as a Debt Recovery Agent 

What is the process for obtaining the IIBF certification?

The process of receiving IIBF certification are as follows:

• Join an accredited DRA training program and undergo the minimum 100/50 hours of training 
• Apply for the DRA exam and clear the examination to receive the certification. Do note a total of 90 questions is therein the IIBF DRA examination
