Hi, My name is Basit, and I am currently in 12th grade(state board ). I'm interested in pursuing BSc Nursing in Australia. Could you please provide information about the application process, the duration of the visa I can obtain, the requirements including IELTS Band and 12th-grade percentage? I'm also looking for affordable universities for BSc Nursing, and I've heard that mathematics is required for the program. Additionally, could you share details about the per-semester fee, program duration, and whether there are any semester breaks? Lastly, I've heard that state board students might face challenges with acceptance at Australian universities, and their chances of obtaining a visa could be lower. Could you clarify this for me? Thank you!" #UG #StudyAbroad #Scholarships #Australia #InternationalStudent #accommodation #BScNursing #Australia #VisaRequirements #IndianStudent #IELTSBand #StateBoardStudents

Hello Basit,

Let’s address each of these questions one by one. We will elaborate on the application procedure for BSC Nursing in Australia in the end so that you have all your other doubts cleared while going through that. Before starting, please note that we will be answering your questions considering the average values and the accurate percentage, marks, fees etc. will depend on the university shortlisted by you.

Firstly, let's talk about the educational qualifications required. So you will need a GPA of 5.5 or approximately 50% marks in Class 12 to be eligible. As for English proficiency tests, an IELTS score of 7, a TOEFL score of 98 and a PTE score of 65 are mostly required by the university.

State board education is accepted in Australia for admission to the BSc Nursing course as long as it is a recognised board. Your doubt about Maths being mandatory is subjective and will depend on your choice of university. The Bachelor of Nursing program is a 3-year course in Australia and mid-semester breaks are given in January, April and August according to the teaching calendar on the Universities Australia portal.

The Australian visa that you will be given for the program will have the same duration as that of your course, i.e. 3 years. Here is “How to apply for an Australian Visa?”. Tuition fees for the BSc Nursing course in Australia are somewhere between AUD 20,000-35,000 per year. A few Australian universities offering bachelor's programs in Nursing at affordable tuition fees are listed below.
