An invitation letter (acceptance letter in a designated format) will be issued to applicants for the Overseas Researcher Program after their applications are formally approved by the host department. The application procedure usually takes 3 months.

After obtaining consent from your host faculty, please let the International Office know a shortened period and a reason for shortening your period by email.

After obtaining consent from your host faculty, you can apply for an extension through the International Office.

Can I use the sports facilities at Waseda university?

Accepted Answer

You may use the gym located in building 30 and the swimming pool located in building 36 at Toyama Campus.

Can I work during my stay?

Accepted Answer

You are not allowed to be engaged in regular work and receive any salary or remuneration as you are supposed to be involved in conducting your research at Waseda University.
