Founded in 1801, Vincennes University is one of the oldest universities in the state of Indiana. Over 220 years have passed since its inception and VU has grown from a small academy to a major state university with campuses sprawling across four cities. The main campus of the university is set in Vincennes alongside the bank of the Wabasha River. The subsidiary campuses are located in Jasper, Fort Branch, and Indianapolis. VU offers over 200 undergraduate, postgraduate and associate degree courses in various specializations of Arts, Sciences and Commerce. The university has divided the different areas of education into six colleges namely, College of Business and Public Service, College of Humanities, College of Health Science and Human Performance, College of Technology, College of Science, Engineering and Mathematics and the College of Social Science, Performing Arts and Communication. VU also offers on-campus accommodation facilities in its seven residential halls located in the campus and equipped with modern amenities and ranging from studio apartments to dormitories.
