The University of Lleida is believed to have its origins traced back to the higher education institution of Estudi General de Lleida, which was developed in 1300 after the granting of charter by King Jaume II of Aragon to the city of Lleida. The university has developed immensely as a modern institution and aims to become an entrepreneurial university promoting a comprehensive model of education.
