History, Affiliations and Rankings
Established in 1996, the University of Lincoln was previously known as the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside. The University had its first class with 500 students in September. The University of Lincoln got its current name in 2001 when the University moved its campus from Hull to Lincoln. Since Her Majesty the Queen started the first University of Lincoln building on the Brayford Pool Campus, the University has welcomed about 90,000 students from across 135 nationalities. University has affiliations with the University of Nottingham Medical School, ACU, Santander Network, and Universities UK. University of Lincoln ranks #501 - #600th in World University Rankings 2022 by Times Higher Education and ranks #801 - 1000 by QS World University Rankings.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
The University of Lincoln has 2 main campuses - City Centre Campus, Brayford Pool Campus, also have one more campus: RiseHolme, which houses the Art Faculty. The vivid campus is quite popular and offers a modern student-centred community. All necessary equipment or services are made available on campus or within walking distance. Great Central Warehouse Library is the treasure of the university that offers easy access to 2,60,000 journals and 7,50,000 print and electronic book collections. The Isaac Newton Building is the university’s latest building and houses the School of Computer Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics. Students have full access to scientific labs, workshops, vehicle control Labs, Electromagnetic chambers, specialist robotics services, and advanced research equipment. Sarah Swift Building is home to the school of Psychology and Health and Social Care. Students have easy access to clinical skill suites, pharmacy dispensary, consultancy rooms, and dedicated space to study. David Chiddick Building houses the School of Business which has 250 guest lecture theatres, 60-seat Harvard-style lecture theatre, seminar rooms, language and IT lab, social spaces, and coffee shop. The University of Lincoln offers 176 bachelor's programs and 204 master's programs, University of Lincoln is rich in numerous programs for international students.

The notable alumni are Gordon Baldwin, potter; David Firth, animator and visual artist; and Jonathan Foyle, an architectural historian.
