Established in 1996, the University of Lincoln was previously known as the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside. The University had its first class with 500 students in September. The University of Lincoln got its current name in 2001 when the University moved its campus from Hull to Lincoln. Since Her Majesty the Queen started the first University of Lincoln building on the Brayford Pool Campus, the University has welcomed about 90,000 students from across 135 nationalities. University has affiliations with the University of Nottingham Medical School, ACU, Santander Network, and Universities UK.
