The University of Genoa was established in 1481 and is known to be one of the largest and most valuable cultural and scientific universities in Italy. The university is home to several independent campuses in various cities and regional campuses in Savona, Santa Margherita Ligure, Imperia, La Spezia and Ventimiglia. Known to be among the high-ranking positions in the European universities in the field of Computer Sciences, it offers courses in Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition, Computer Graphics and Computer Vision. The University of Genoa offers more than 120 undergraduate and graduate degree courses in 11 fields of study along with 29 PhD level programmes. With the aim to promote research, innovation and technology transfer to students in an increasingly competitive environment at both national and international level.
