A Catholic research University, the University of Dayton was established as an act of faith more than 170 years ago by Marianists. Today, it is among the best-ranked research-focused universities in the world and the second-largest private university in Ohio rooted in its Catholic tenets of service, justice and peace. The University of Dayton is affiliated with several academic bodies such as the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU), the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU) and is also among the Space Grant colleges in the United States. The University of Dayton is situated on the banks of the Great Miami River in Southwest Ohio, surrounded by scenic locales, green spaces and porch-clad student accommodations. The vibrant campus is roughly divided into four parts - Historic Campus, Campus West, River Campus, and Arena Sports Complex. It features 38 buildings, 5 residence halls, 18 student apartment complexes and 473 University-owned houses. The campus is known for its historic halls, state-of-the-art student facilities such as Art Street, the Science Centre and RecPlex. The University of Dayton offers over 80 Undergraduate programs and 50+ Master’s programs along with numerous certificate courses. With an average class size of 26, the University of Dayton is a top-rated University in Ohio for higher education.

With its rooted emphasis on producing top-tier research, the University has managed to receive a sponsorship of $195 million for the fiscal year 2021. According to a report, 93% of the students graduating from the University of Dayton have reported being employed or enrolled in further education. Further, the University’s entrepreneurship programs have ranked among the Top 50 in the country while the University has ranked #1 for its courses in Engineering and R&D. The University of Dayton is the second-largest private University in Ohio with a global alumni network of 124,000+ students worldwide. Candace Smith, a Canadian television personality and lawyer, Michael Turner, a renowned American politician, Kristina Keneally, an American-born Australian politician, have all graduated from the University of Dayton.
