Located in Wallonia, Liege University is one of the largest public universities in Belgium. Although, French is the medium of instruction at the university, it offers courses in various other languages too. Currently, 24,522 students are enrolled across the various programmes- the university offers 38 bachelors, 200 masters, 65 advanced masters and doctorate programmes across various disciplines. Out of the 200 masters degree programs offered, 70% are taught in the English Language. The university is best known for its Law, Criminology, Science, Agronomy, Applied Science, Philosophy, Veterinary Medicine, Psychology, Educational Sciences, Architecture, Business, Economics and Management programmes. Liege University has 4300 employees where 2300 are faculty members and 1300 belong to the administrative and technical departments. The university has agreements for conducting research and other activities with many institutions, scientific networks and reputed academia across the world. Its tuition fee is low in comparison to other Belgium universities. More than 2000 students are currently enrolled in basic and applied research based programmes. The university engages in active participation in research projects in five cluster programs involving Wagralim, Biowin, Logistic in Wallonia, Skywin, and Mecatech.
