Trinity Western University (TWU) is a private, liberal arts university founded in the year 1962. TWU sits on a suburban, 157-acre campus situated in the city of Langley, British Columbia. It also has four other campuses located at Salt Spring Island, Richmond, Bellingham, and Ottawa. Every year, close to around 4,000 students gets to enroll in various undergraduate, graduate, and adult degree programs. Out of the total enrollments, 1,900 are undergraduates and 2100 are graduates. Some of the best known Master degree programs of the university are in the fields of humanities, education, linguistics, psychology, business, nursing, and theology. TWU houses many research institutes namely the Dead Sea Scrolls Institute, Gender Studies Institute, Centre for Entrepreneurial Leadership, Centre for Spiritual Formation in Higher Education, and the Institute of Indigenous Issues and Perspectives. TWU’s courses like Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, Nursing, and School of Education programs have been accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Counselling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP), Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing, and BC Teacher Regulation Branch respectively. The university also aids its students financially by offering a plethora of scholarships and grants. Apart from the classroom programs, TWU also hosts around 100 student clubs and organizations to nurture the student.
TWU tuition and fees are said to be the most expensive of all the universities in Canada, the average academic fees are around $22,260 CDN, international students pay the same fee figure.
