Tokai University is a private institution situated in the Shibuya city of Tokyo. It was established in the year 1946 and is accredited under Japan’s oldest and traditional education system. In 2008, the university was re-established with the merger between Kyushu Tokai University and Hokkaido Tokyo University. The average endowment value of Tokai University is estimated at 600 million Japanese Yuan. Further, the campus of the university is spread across 500 acres of land and is one of the biggest campuses in Japan. Tokai University offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs in an array of specializations of Law, Science, Humanities, Arts, Cultural Studies, amongst others. The student population of the university is over 28,000 out of which 1,000 are postgraduate students and 27,000 are undergraduates. The faculty members comprises of 1500 administrative and academic staff including teachers and scholars from across the globe.
