Southern New Hampshire University was established in 1932 in Manchester, USA under the name of New Hampshire School of accounting and secretarial science. In 1961, it was incorporated as the New Hampshire College of Accounting and Commerce and it was granted its charter in 1963 which gave it degree-granting power. Southern New Hampshire University has been affiliated with the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities, and the New Hampshire College & University Council. In the area of sports, Southern New Hampshire University has been affiliated with NCAA Division II - NE 10. Southern New Hampshire University has also been ranked #131 in the Regional Universities of the North by the US News & World Report.

Infrastructure, Campuses, and Courses

Southern New Hampshire University is based in an urban campus setting, with more than 70 student clubs, State of the art la facilities, D2 Sports, on-campus accommodation, and a career centre. There are a total of 7 schools in SNHU, namely College for America, College of engineering, technology and aeronautics, College of online and consulting education, School of arts and science, School of business, School of education, and school of International engagement. All of these schools offer more than 130 undergraduate and postgraduate courses both online and offline.

Accomplishments and Alumni 

Since its establishment in 1932, Southern New Hampshire University has had a long road of achievements and recognitions. the School of Business and the COCE won multiple "Best of Business" Awards, for Best MBA Program and Best Online Degree Program, respectively in 2014 which were presented by the New Hampshire Business Review. SNHU was recognized by the chronicle of higher education as the best university to work at. Many notable alumni have graduated from SNHU and paved their way to success like Rebecca Adamson (Cherokee businessperson and advocate), Felix G. Arroyo (former Boston city councillor), and Ron Fortier ( comic book writer).
