Established in 1968, Prince of Songkla University is a national university located in Thailand which consists of four campuses and one education service area. Raising the educational standards, supporting local businesses and contributing to their development is the main motto of the university. Prince of Songkla University has collaborated with various international institutions and universities to facilitate international study abroad program which covers various subjects and includes programs for languages, business, culture, tourism, economics and administration. The university encompasses 39 faculties, 4 hospitals, and more than 40 research centres. There are more than 34,000 students enrolled in this university that offers 295 programs including 18 international programs and 3 foreign language programs The university is home to international students from various countries and the students studying at The Phuket campus are mostly from European and North American institutes. The Thailand National Research Universities Project which constitutes of 9 universities also includes the Prince of Songkla University. The university is also popular as a Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology for Energy. Prince of Songkla University (PSU) offers programs which are recognized to meet the international standards. This 52 years old higher-education institution follows a selective admission policy which is based on entrance examinations. The university maintains international collaborations with institutions and international agencies from more than 40 countries, including the European Union, the World Health Organisation, and Unesco.
