Established in the year 1842, Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU) is a private educational institute, situated in Delaware. The main campus covers 200 acres of land in central Ohio. At present, 1,497 students are enrolled in various Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral programs across various departments. Some renowned courses offered by OWU are Data Analytics, Communication, Neuroscience and Zoology, Education, Medicine, and Fine Arts. OWUs acclaimed connection program provides hands-on training experiences to produce industry-ready graduates. The athletics team of OWU is a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference, NCAA Division III, and Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference. OWUs Beeghly Library houses more than 500,000 volumes, books, eBooks and journals. It also has a collection of rare books, manuscripts, artefacts, and archives of Ohio United Methodism. The Perkins Observatory, Strand Theatre, and the Kraus Wilderness Preserve are some of the major attractions of OWU. Every year, OWU grants more than $30,000 worth of scholarships and awards to its students. Charles Fairbanks(26th Vice-President of the US), Frank Sherwood Rowland(Nobel Prize winner for chemistry), and William Hsiao(Economist) are some of the notable alumni of OWU.
