Having its main campus in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Northeastern State University is a public University and one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Oklahoma. The university is home to over 8,500 students and its Tahlequah campus is spread across 200 acres and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as digital classrooms, libraries, recreational halls and laboratories. The university has a total of 5 colleges and offers more than 69 undergraduate, 18 graduate and 13 pre-professional programs. The campus premises comprises of seminar halls, a science centre, a Fine Arts building as well as the Centre for Admission and Student Enrollment (CASE) building. The university avails on-campus accommodation facilities to students in its residential buildings including Haskell Hall, Hasting Hall, Isabel Cobb Hall, amongst others. As a member of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA), the university participates in NCAA Division II every year in a variety of sports activities. The Northeastern Student Government Association (NSGA) is the student organisation at the Northeastern State University.
