History, Affiliations and Rankings
Navitas was established in 1994, and was formerly known as IBT education. They recognized the gap in the education sector, that international students being equally capable to the domestic students were failing in their programs. In 2000, Navitas partnered with various universities in the UK. In 2007, IBT education changed its name to Navitas and in 2008, they established their partnership with Anglia Ruskin University. In 2017, Navitas renewed its agreement with Anglia Ruskin University for pathway courses at Cambridge Ruskin International College (CRIC), till 2026.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
Cambridge Ruskin International College (CRIC), provides a broad range of Foundation courses as well as First Year Pathways in Business, Communications, IT, Engineering, Education, Nursing, and Social Work to international students who can then get direct admission into the second year of the University’s courses. CRIC also provides master's qualifying courses in Business, Engineering, Communications, Education, and Information Technology. More than 60 course options are available that are taught in smaller batches of students with personalized attention. The campus has high-tech clinical skills laboratories, which also include mock hospital spaces. It was in 1992 that the campus was based in the city center, the Chelmsford campus relocated to a new location.

Navitas is the biggest private non-university higher education provider based in Australia and offers educational opportunities worldwide. Navitas offers a pivotal part in various disadvantaged students' lives, to give a second chance to those who did not have direct access to traditional higher education pathways. Some of the notable alumni names include Chris Beckett (Academic and Author), Angela Hartnett (Entrepreneur), Ian Miller (English footballer).
