This university is a public based university situated in Luhansk, Ukraine, and was founded in 1956. The Lugansk State Medical University was initially named Voroshilovgrad Medical Institute. The university offers various graduate and postgraduate degree programs in different disciplines of Medical Sciences, which include: MBBS, Pediatrics, Pharmaceuticals, Dentistry, Postgraduate Sciences and much more. Lugansk State Medical University receives more than 6827 students annually and over 3000 international students get enrolled in various degree programs. The current president of the university is Igor loffe. The main campus of Lugansk State Medical University is situated in the lush green forest area of the Luhansk. It comprises of its three original buildings out of which one is the research building, second is the library building and a vivarium that holds space for the animals. It has well-equipped high-tech laboratories with ample books and study material along with hi-tech reading rooms. The university also holds a superior rank in the topmost medical universities of Ukraine. It comprises of seven main faculties that are divided into various disciplines to offer quality education to the students. The courses are taught mainly in English as well as Ukraine's native language.
