L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (ENU) is a Russian Kazakh research university founded in May, 1996. The university is formed after the merger between Akmola pedagogical institute and civil engineering institute of Akmola. One of the prominent institutes of higher education in Nur Sultan, ENU was re-established in 2001 after gaining the status of a national university.
The university offers a plethora of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral courses in the field of Humanities, Natural Science, Social Science, Military Science, and Engineering. Currently, it accommodates 15,794 students and the university is accredited by EUA. It comprises of 28 scientific research institutes along with a military department and an educational and cultural institute. The university is ranked 336th in the top global universities of the world. The university faculty consists of more than 2,857 academic staff members in which more than 40% constitute the teaching staff. The courses offered in various disciplines are taught in both Russian and English language
