Kyungpook National University aims to live up to the spirit it was founded in which is service, truth and pride. It received its university status in the year 1951 and is situated in Daegu, which is the 4th largest city in the country. The university had begun initially as a regional education hub which quickly rose in popularity as one of South Seoul’s best university. The university houses 19 schools and colleges and 14 graduate schools as compared to 7 colleges the university had opened with initially. The Kyungpook National University was ranked in the 1st position by the South Korean Ministry of Education for graduate employment for 2 consecutive years, i.e. 2011 and 2012 amongst the largest regional universities.
