The course uses experience from our internationally recognised Construction Project Management course and combines it with our high-profile Civil Engineering postgraduate course to provide a broad and valuable education. As a result, our recent graduates have been employed by a range of both national and international employers.

This one-year MSc degree will make you aware of the relationship between demand and supply of energy, a relationship that consists of much more than its technical component. It includes political, economic and social issues and has to be viewed on a global as well as a local scale with respect to energy provision, consumption and the costs it might incur – both in the monetary as well as environmental terms.

We try to reflect the broad range of disciplines covering energy in this multi-disciplinary degree, which offers courses relevant to energy resources, power generation, process engineering, environmental legislation and environmental impact assessment, energy in buildings, as well as business courses in collaboration with the Edinburgh Business School.

It is the aim of the Energy with Entrepreneurship MSc/Diploma to provide a balanced, integrated degree programme which will equip the participant with the tools needed to positively influence their organisation. By developing new business strategies relevant to 'energy', or in reacting to the growing portfolio of environmental legislation. Courses are supported by industrial suppliers and users of energy, who are committed to an ethical environmental policy.

The course will give you an in-depth understanding of business processes and functions within the industry’s creative foundations. It attracts people from business and textile backgrounds – offering the chance to carry out structured research investigation.

The course aims to challenge traditional and contemporary uses of fashion and textiles, whilst promoting new approaches and processes in the industry. It also lets you concentrate on an area of study that’s particularly suited to you. What’s more, this fashion degree is supported by staff with knowledge that covers everything from design and manufacture to technology and creativity.

The MSC Fashion and Textiles Management course is taught at our Scottish Borders Campus in Galashiels

Sitting within the Edinburgh Business School, the MSc International Sport Management programme comprises a core of business knowledge and understanding with an additional emphasis on the study of topics central to international sport management, such as the principles and application of international sport management and the professional practice placement course.

This programme has been designed for students who would like to pursue a career leading international sporting organisations and managing staff from a range of unique disciplines and diverse backgrounds towards attaining excellence in the delivery of sport services and opportunities.  

Students will gain a theoretical understanding as well as an applied skill set in areas such as competitive strategy, leadership, finance, governance and management in an international sporting context.
