On August 1, 1971, the Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main was founded by merging several former leader establishments, including the Higher School of Social Work, the State Higher Economic School (HWS), and engineering schools. On July 1, 2014, the Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main was retitled Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. The university is affiliated with the Erasmus Programme (European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students, EUC / EPS) and Florence Network. QS World University Ranking has ranked it at 291 place in 2020.

The Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences (formerly the Fachhochschule Frankfurt am Main) is a public university in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. About 38 study programmes in architecture and civil engineering, business and business law, informatics and engineering, social work and health are available at Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. The majority of courses are taught in German; however, master's level courses in High Integrity Systems, Information Technology, and Urban Development are offered in English. 

Accomplishments and Alumni 

In the 2017 Logistics University Ranking, the Frankfurt UAS was ranked first among universities for applied sciences. The university's Global Logistics degree programme came in second place in the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure's "University Prize for Freight Transport and Logistics 2019 (German only)" competition. The reviewers praised the high level of practical experience as well as the use of a variety of innovative teaching methods. Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences provides high-quality practice-oriented study programmes that lead to a variety of rewarding careers. They not only provide a diverse range of language courses and levels of language learning, but they also collaborate with 60 universities around the world, making it easier to enter the global job market. The university has approximately 200 partner universities in 51 countries on six continents. It is home to 270 lecturers, 730 employees, 16 scientific institutes.
