Felician University is the only Franciscan liberal arts university in the state of New Jersey and was established in 1942. It had been founded by the Felician sisters of Lodi in New Jersey as the Immaculate Conception Normal School in 1923 and the school changed its name to its current name in 2015. The university has 4 schools, the schools of Education, Business, Nursing and Arts and Sciences, each offering a wide range of undergraduate, adult undergraduate and graduate level programs. The university has 2 campuses at Lodi and Rutherford, both in New Jersey and the Rutherford campus is spread across 10.5 acres. There are 2 residence halls on campus, Elliott Terrace and Milton Court, offering suites on a double occupancy basis. 6 kinds of scholarships are awarded by the university with the award money ranging between, $1000 - $18000 and in addition to this high school students with exceptional academic records are eligible to receive merit scholarships worth $40000 for the entire study duration.
