History, Affiliations and Rankings
Falmouth University was originally established as Falmouth School of Art in 1902 but was granted the university status in 2012. Over the last few years, Falmouth has seen significant progress and investment. Subsequently, a new media centre was also established in 2017 that provides courses in photography and animation. Falmouth University is associated with the University of Exeter which carries out research on the digital economy and sustainability. The organization has also established a library and teaching space named The Exchange. The University has affiliations with Combined Universities in Cornwall, Darlington College of Arts, Universities UK and the University of Exeter. In the Complete University Guide rankings for universities in the UK, Falmouth ranks at #70 out of 130 universities.

The university comprises two campuses namely Falmouth campus and Penryn campus which are highly developed in all manners and provide students with the best on-campus facilities. The university provides a wide range of courses to its students at different levels. Falmouth University specialises in creative subjects such as Media, Fashion, Arts etc. It has made massive investments in order to help the students get the best resources that will help them in their building their skills such as the establishment of a media centre, providing students with different kinds of animation & photography courses and so on.
