Changsha University, officially known as Chángsh? Dàxué in Pinyin, was established in 2004 in Changsha in Hunan Province, China. Changsha University was founded by the Ministry of Education in May 2004 with an aim to provide the world class education with traditional values at an undergraduate levels. Today, Changsha University has 16 departments in five major disciplines including Department of Art; Department of Information & Computing Science; Department of Foreign Languages; Department of Civil Engineering; Department of Bioengineering & Environmental Science; Department of Tourism; Department of Chinese Language & Journalism; Management Department of Computer Science and Technology; Department of Law and Public Administration; Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering; Department of Business Administration; Department of Electronic and Communication Engineering; Department of Extended Education; Department of College English and Department of Physical Education. CU offers 32 undergraduate programs in different disciplines including Language, Chemical Engineering; Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Health Science, Medicine Science, Law, Business Management and Administration, Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and include many more disciplines. Not just this, CU also offers wide range of special programs with a narrow subject at undergraduate and foundation level. Apart from the undergraduate programs, Changsha University also offers Provincial New Century 121 Talents Project, 1 object of Hunan Provincial Young Social and Scientific Study Talents Project, 2 Hunan Provincial Distinguished Teachers, 3 Hunan Provincial Excellent Teachers, 10 Hunan Provincial Exemplary Teachers, 10 Provincial Education Experts, 2 were awarded the Teaching Dedication Prize. Today, Changsha University has one campus in the historical city of Changsha in Hunan Province, China. The campus covers a total area of 1,407,359 square meters with a construction area of over 300,000 square meters. A new campus covering an area of 1,066,000 square meters is still under construction and is expected to complete in 2021. the beautiful campus has been filled with clusters of modern and elegant constructions, ranging from academic buildings, library, laboratory, standard stadium, building of science and technology, and well-equipped student residential facilities. There are total 14,000 students enrolled in the Changsha University with a presence of the academic staff of 900 members. The faculty student ratio of the university stands at 1:15.5. According to the UniRank Ranking, Changsha University is ranked #320 in China in 2019.
