History and Affiliations
Camosun College is located in Victoria, British Columbia. It is a public community college and was established in 1971. The roots of the college can be traced back to 1914 when the Young Building was built at Victorias’ first Normal School. This is now a part of the Lansdowne campus. Back then the school’s enrollment was about 275. Camosun College is affiliated with prestigious bodies like ACCC, CCAA, CUP, CBIE.
Infrastructure, Campus & Courses
Camosun College has two campuses - Lansdowne and Interurban road. It has around 7 schools that are dedicated to Arts and Science, Business, Health and Human Services, and Trades and Technology, among others. The areas of study include nautical training, computers and engineering, math, science and technology, sports, and exercise along with other advanced studies. Camosun College has been affiliated with the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), Colleges and Institutes Canada (CIC), Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) and Canadian University Press (CUP).
Accomplishments & Alumni
The college is known for having 5 provincial & National award-winning intercollegiate Charger athletic teams in volleyball, basketball & golf. Camosun is also very renowned for its placement facilities. To ensure students get placed after graduation, it has established connections with various industries. These industries participate in student recruitments through campus training and various joint services. Camosun College has a strong alumni base that adds to the university’s global image and reputation. Graduates of this university have established a strong image of the university across the globe.
