Cambrian College has been Northern Ontario's leading post-secondary institution since 1967. Originally, it was a trade school. Three of Cambrian College’s outstanding full-time programs: Civil Engineering Technology; Magnetic Resonance Imaging; and English for Academic Purposes; have received an additional seal of quality assurance and educational excellence through National Accreditation. When it comes to performance and ranking, Employers in Ontario have rated the college as the best in the province for producing highly trained, job-ready graduates.

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

Cambrian College is situated in the heart of the city. It has three campuses. The main campus of Cambrian College is located in Barrydowne. It has an athletics centre with a 6,000 ft modern training facility, three squash courts, and a double gymnasium are among the facilities. It also has a bookstore, a testing centre, a learning centre, a cafeteria, and several Tim Horton's restaurants, a prominent Canadian fast-food company. The other campuses are Little Current (Manitoulin Campus) and Espanola. The college offers 80 full-time programmes, nearly 900 part-time courses. Cambrian College provides programmes in business and information technology, creative arts, design, and music, health sciences, nursing, and emergency services, engineering technology, law and justice, safety and environmental studies, and general studies.

Accomplishments and Alumni 

Cambrian College is a place where excellence is celebrated. Employers in Ontario have rated the college as the best in the province for producing highly trained, job-ready graduates. The Canadian Cancer Society bestows the Corporate Partner Award to Cambrian College at its annual Volunteer Appreciation Night. Cambrian president Sylvia Barnard receives the Bernadine Yackman Woman of the Year Award at the 2011 Business and Professional Women (BPW) Awards Gala. The achievement list of colleges is unending. The college has a prestigious network of nearly 60,000 graduates applying their skills and expertise across the globe.

Cambrian is Northern Ontario's largest public college of applied arts and technology, and it is committed to helping students achieve their goals so that they can find and keep meaningful jobs. Employers in Ontario have ranked the college #1, as the one with highly-skilled, job-ready graduates. Over 4100 students are enrolled in 80 full-time programmes, and over 7000 students are enrolled in nearly 900 part-time courses and programmes at the college. The college welcomes over 1,600 international students from 30 countries to study, learn and grow. It helps the students maintain a healthy level of activity throughout the year. From becoming a member of one of the varsity teams, participating in an intramural activity, or spending time exploring a well-equipped Athletic Centre, everything is sorted out at the College.
