The Brescia University College founded in 1919. It is the only women’s university in Canada. The College is affiliated with Western University, the third-largest university located in the province. It was founded by the Ursuline sisters and has always been committed to community service, social justice and the empowerment of women. Even though the roots of the college originate in Catholic beliefs, the college is open to embracing women from all faiths. This university is spread over about 9 acres overlooking the city.
